Setting Aside Orders

Setting Aside Agreements and Orders

Sometimes mistakes are made. People enter into agreements because they are unaware of the true facts or, in some cases, because of misrepresentations or fraud. When signing prenuptial agreements, agreements made during marriage, or marital settlement agreements, people often fail to comply with the statutory requirements. Even judges sometime make mistakes when making their decisions or entering judgments.

Because of this, the California Legislature has enacted laws that, in narrow and specific circumstances, allow such agreements and judgments to be set aside. Our office has had as much, if not more, experience than any other firm in Kern County both enforcing and setting aside such agreements and judgments.
